Digital Signage is one of the fastest growing areas of our industry – making it a perfect topic for our buying guide series. We put blood, sweat and tears into making our guides a valuable resource. It’s not just a product catalog – it’s so much more. We scour the marketplace for insightful articles that are meant to provoke ideas and new perspectives. We engage our specialized BDMs for trends & questions they encounter in the field daily. We utilize video to show products in action and record informative interviews with our leadership team. A guide like this is truly a team effort. And getting started is the easy part!
So many of our vendor partners offer something to digital signage. It wasn’t hard to discern what products and technology to showcase in the guide (we have over 25 featured)! Working with our manufacturers, we are able to collaborate and focus on a few key items. Like with Sharp Aquos we featured two video clips to show Quattron Q+ technology or BrightSign’s CEO discussing their new 4K media player. Once those pages are nailed down, we get to work selecting the articles. Some are from respected industry publications and some our BDMs have written to bring a new perspective. So now we have pages from our manufacturers and our industry articles. Here comes the hard part – putting the pages together in a way that flows from page to page. What do we put after the BDMs discuss trends in digital signage? What follows the Chief CONNEXSYS video wall system in a way that supports its message? How do we support TouchSystems’ case study highlighting touch technology in schools? It takes some time and then once it’s put together, we rearrange it again! And again… and again until we’ve refined each page. At this point, we’re ready to push it to the public.
