Last year, we exhibited at the International Sign Association (ISA) show for the first time and learned a lot about what we call the Static sign industry and the attendees learned about what they call Dynamic Digital Signage (DDS). It was apparent the members of the ISA were thirsty for knowledge concerning all things DDS. I was asked to speak about partnerships for digital signage and shared insights about when to outsource, when to take it in-house, and when to partner. After my session we had all sorts of people coming to see us in our booth – dazzled by video walls, curious about content creation, and sometimes frankly overwhelmed by the sheer complexity of all the components necessary to make a digital signage installation work.
While at the show, we invited the ISA to attend our upcoming E4 AV Tour in Chicago to understand how Almo could assist with educating their members on both the technical and business aspects of DDS. They graciously accepted and shortly thereafter, they came to visit us in Baltimore. And it was that fateful day in Baltimore that a marriage was made in a conference room and the E4 Tour is now co-locating with the ISA Expo in Orlando on April 23rd.
Kudos to the ISA for being a forward- thinking organization by helping their members understand the road ahead as the worlds of static signage and DDS converge. We are honored to be co-locating our event with their Dynamic Digital Signage conference. If you can’t come to the show in Orlando, we’ll be live broadcasting the keynote and panel discussion, both hosted/taught by Gary Kayye.
