Recently Barco launched a new segment of projectors tied to their Corporate AV line called Present C. The “C” stands for collaboration. While any projector can present an image from a laptop allowing for a collaboration session to take place, these new projectors present a very convincing reason why there’s more to it than meets the eye.
It’s all about pixel space and aspect ratio. Take a close look at this illustration. This accurately depicts what is lost (or gained) when presenting the same image and content on different resolution projectors.
This visual is very compelling, especially when you consider the impact of this data in a collaboration session. There is tangible proof that effective and efficient usage of technology enhances the collaboration experience, which in turn (and most importantly) increases productivity. The simple yet key point to be made here is more pixel space means more data on screen. More data on screen means less image swapping to present content.
Here is a link to a video that gives you a snap shot of one of the Panorama projectors running with the Barco ClickShare CSC-1. This wireless collaboration system supports 21:9 output aspect ratio natively allowing for perfect pixel for pixel image reproduction in a ClickShare collaboration session.
The Barco Present-C line up offers a number of different options in projector configurations and brightness starting at 1080p resolution up to Panorama (2560×1080) and going as high as WQXGA (2560×1600).
